Green Tea Sencha is Japan's most beloved, healthy tea, accounting for about 80% of tea production in Japan. Unlike other teas of the world, traditional production of Japanese Sencha begins with steaming fresh tea leaves during the same day of the harvest to prevent oxidation. This process retains its golden-green color and fresh flavor. Then, it goes through several rubbing processes to make each leaf a long thin shape. This brings out a grassy note and "Umami" (savory) tea leaf taste. It is also well known that Catechins, a type of anti-oxidant, are most abundant in Sencha compared to other kinds of teas.
A cup of our Sencha is a great start for the day by waking up your body and spirit by a light sweetness with moderate bitterness.
Ingredients: Organic Japanese Green Tea
Brewing instructions: 1 teaspoon per 240ml (8 oz) of 80℃/175℉ water. Steep for 2 minutes. Sip hot or top with ice for iced tea.
